I appreciated “Different Assignments” (Editorial, July 18). Rachel Stella points us to an understanding of the church that transcends our denominational orientations. Anabaptists are rooted in a continuum of faith that stretches the limits of our North American understandings. As we work through differences, we should value the insight of the historical church, the global church and the persecuted church, past and present.
