Sliding to immorality
“Sensing a Historic Moment, Women Join National March” (Jan. 30) is a sad commentary on how far and low the name “Mennonite” has slid into the immoral world. Why did MWR have a full page on this misleading movement? There’s a big difference between illegal immigrants and legal immigrants. There is no such thing as “her wife.” Women’s rights do not include the right to murder an unborn child. When did “Mennonite” change from meaning “follow Jesus and repent of your sins” to “love the people and their sinful lifestyles”? Maybe these marchers need to be introduced to the Bible.
Mennonite World Review invites readers’ comments on articles. To promote constructive dialogue, editors select the comments that appear, just as we do with letters to the editor in print. These decisions are final. Writers must sign their first and last names; anonymous comments are not accepted. Comments do not appear until approved and are posted during business hours. Comments may be reproduced in print, and may be edited if selected for print.
